  1. Regaining Your Heart” 2019

  2. “Regaining Your Heart” 2019 • I truly believe that the Lord spoke to me about a month ago as I began to prepare for this prophetic series for the new year, that many people were going to get their hearts back, which have been lost from discouragement, failure, woundedness, and disillusionment.

  3. Healing the Broken- Hearted

  4. Healing the Broken- Hearted

  5. Healing the Broken-Hearted Luke 4:18-19 (NKJV) 18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He hath anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, 19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

  6. Healing the Broken-Hearted It is unfortunate that many of the newer translations leave this phrase out. But by comparing the passage in Luke 4:18 with the passage in Isaiah 61:1, that Jesus was quoting from, we can see very clearly that this was definitely a part of Jesus’ message. (A study of the Greek text shows that this phrase very clearly is there, but translators have chosen to either leave it out all together or combine it with other phrases in the passage. In fact in the Greek it literally reads “he has sent me to heal the broken of the heart.”)

  7. Healing the Broken-Hearted • Jesus says He was sent to heal the brokenhearted. He did not come just to tell (preach to) brokenhearted people that they could be healed, but He was sent to bring the healing that they need. • Jesus came to bring healing so that our hearts can be completely whole and we no longer have to carry the wounds that sin brought into our lives.

  8. Healing the Broken-Hearted Not only does sin cause our hearts to be broken, but the loss of loved ones through death or divorce, loss of a job, pet, or any kind of loss.  The grief that we suffer due to the difficulties we face in life can be unbearable at times and we can literally feel like our heart is broken into two pieces.  Jesus not only came to heal us physically—as He did many people while He was here and spiritually from the bondage of sin, but also emotionally.  Thank God that Jesus came to be a Healer of the emotional pain we suffer as well as the physical and spiritual pain.

  9. Is. 61/ Lk .4 - “to bind up the brokenhearted” This is an interesting phrase, “to bind up” the brokenhearted, because when a person’s heart is broken it must be bound together again to heal. Much like a deep cut or open wound that needs to be stitched to draw the skin back together so the healing can take place. If the cut is not stitched, then the wound will not heal properly. This takes personal, tender, loving care and attention and shows that the Messiah would not be a God that didn’t care about us. So Jesus, the Messiah, is the one who personally came to bind our wounds together so our broken hearts can heal.

  10. Is. 61/ Lk .4 - “to bind up the brokenhearted” Brokenhearted – Hebrew - shabar: break, break in pieces, to rend or tear violently, wreck, to be broken, to be crushed, to shatter, be shattered Brokenhearted – Greek – syntribō: break, to break in pieces, to tread down, to break down, crush, to tear one's body and shatter one's strength

  11. God Created our Hearts and Desires to Shape IT Psalms 33:14 14 From His dwelling place He gazes on all who inhabit the earth. 15 He shapes the hearts of each; He considers all their works.

  12. Healing the Broken-Hearted Psalm 147:3 He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. Psalm 34:18 The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.

  13. Healing the Broken-Hearted Psalm 69:20 Reproach has broken my heart and I am so sick And I looked for sympathy, but there was none, And for comforters, but I found none. Matthew 5:4-4 Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.

  14. Isaiah 61 1 The Spirit of the Lord Godis upon Me, Because the Lord has anointed Me to preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to those who are bound; 2To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, And the day of vengeance of our God; To comfort all who mourn,

  15. Isaiah 61 3 To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.”

  16. Healing the Broken-Hearted He was to be a comforter, and so He is as preacher, healer, and deliverer; He is sent to comfort all who mourn, and who, mourning, seek to Him, and not to the world, for comfort. Christ not only provides comfort for them, and proclaims it, but He applies it to them; He does by His Spirit comfort them. There is enough in Him to comfort all who mourn, whatever their sore or sorrow is; but this comfort is sure to those who mourn in Zion

  17. Healing the Broken-Hearted • Beauty replacing Ashes • Oil of Joy for Mourning • Garment of Praise replaces the Spirit of Heaviness • Trees of Righteousness • The Planting of the Lord • God Glorified in You

  18. Healing the Broken-Hearted Psalm 73:26 My flesh and my heart may fail, But God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. • God alone is the strength of my Heart

  19. Healing the Broken-Hearted Psalm 34:18 The Lord is near to the brokenhearted And saves those who are crushed in spirit. Psalm 51:17 A broken and a contrite heart, O God, You will not despise.

  20. Healing the Broken-Hearted Psalm 147:3 He heals the brokenhearted And binds up their wounds. Joel 2:13 And rend your heart and not your garments.” Now return to the Lord your God, For He is gracious and compassionate, Slow to anger, abounding in lovingkindness And relenting of evil.

  21. Repentance Dear Jesus , FORGIVE ME OF THE SINS I COMMITTED THAT OPENED THE DOORS FOR THE SPIRIT OF HEAVINESS TO COME IN. I FORGIVE THOSE WHO HAVE OFFENDED ME OR HURT ME. I'VE ALLOWED THESE SPIRITS OF HEAVINESS TO ROB ME OF THE GOOD THINGS YOU HAVE FOR ME. FORGIVE ME FOR NOT PRAISING YOU, FOR NOT WORSHIPING YOU AS I SHOULD BECAUSE I KNOW THAT THE GARMENT OF PRAISE HELPS TO KEEP THESE DEMONIC FORCES OUT.

  22. Renounce • I now renounce any agreements I have made with the Spirit of Heaviness and it’s lies. I want nothing more! I renounce the need for pity, self pity, or living off the sympathy of others.

  23. Break and Cast Away • IN JESUS’S NAME... Satan... I BIND YOUR POWERS RIGHT NOW! I BIND AND CAST OUT THE DEMONS OF INSECURITY AND INFERIORITY.

  24. Break and Cast Away • ALSO THESE SPIRITS OF: Weariness, Excessive Mourning, Sorrow-Grief, Insomnia, Bi-polar, Manic depressive, Self-Pity, Rejection, Broken-Heart, Despair-Dejection-Hopelessness, Depression, Confusion, Suicidal thoughts, The desire to die... to give up!, Inner Hurts-Torn Spirit, Heaviness, Sadness, Low self-esteem, Loneliness, Oppression, Discouragement, Stress/strain, Extreme tiredness, Lethargy and Deep sleep.

  25. Break and Cast Away • I COMMAND the SPIRIT OF HEAVINESS TO GO NOW, IN YESHUA’S MIGHTY NAME! YOUR TIME IS UP!... YOUR ASSIGNMENTS IN MY LIFE ARE CANCELLED! YOU NO LONGER HAVE A LEGAL RIGHT TO STAY! YOUR INFLUENCE IN MY LIFE IS BROKEN THIS DAY IN YESHUA’S NAME!

  26. JOY PRAISE • Now Holy Spirit, come and replace that Spirit of heaviness with the oil of joy and the GARMENT OF PRAISE • NOW LET’S ACTIVATE THAT WITH PRAISING HIM RIGHT NOW!

  27. Prayer for the Healing of My Heart Jesus, I come into Your presence now, and I ask You to surround me. I come under Your authority and the knowledge that I belong to You. I give myself to You — body, soul, and spirit. I give my heart to You, in every way — including the broken places in my heart. I declare Your authority over my heart, for You made my heart and You have redeemed my heart.

  28. Prayer for the Healing of My Heart • Jesus, I invite you into this broken place within me (this wound, this memory). I give you total access to my heart. Come, Lord, shine your light here. Reveal to me all that is going on here. What is this about, Jesus? Come and show me, meet me here, in this place.

  29. Prayer for the Healing of My Heart Jesus, come and lead me in healing this brokenness in my heart. Speak to me here, Lord. What are you saying to me? Give me ears to hear and eyes to see what you are revealing. Let no other voice speak but you, my Lord Jesus, and you alone.

  30. Prayer for the Healing of My Heart Jesus, forgive me for the ways I’ve mishandled my brokenness. You alone make me dwell in safety. Forgive me for all my self-protection and self-redemption, and for all my false comforters. (You’ll want to renounce specific sins you are aware of here.) Cleanse my heart of every sin by your shed blood.

  31. INSTRUCTIONS As we renounce any sin, we also renounce any claim we’ve given to Satan in our lives. This often comes in the form of “agreements” — Satan has suggested something to us, and we have said, “Yes.” He might have said, "Don’t ever trust anyone," or "Your heart is bad — never show it to anyone," or, "You are dirty… lustful… addicted, and never will get free." Whatever we have agreed with, we renounce those agreements. We ask God to cleanse us by the blood of Christ; we command our Enemy to flee (James 4:7).

  32. Prayer for the Healing of My Heart I now break every agreement I have made with Satan and his lies. (Get specific here. What have you believed, bought into?) I renounce any claim I have given to my Enemy, and in the name of Jesus I command him to flee.

  33. INSTRUCTIONS And then we ask Jesus to do for us the very thing He said He came to do: we ask Him to heal this brokenness, to bind up our hearts. Sometimes He will ask us to take His hand in this shattered place, follow Him into His heart and His presence within us. These places are often isolated from the life and the love of God in us; He draws them back into His presence and heals them through union with Himself, in our hearts.

  34. INSTRUCTIONS Our part is to listen and follow where He is leading, and to welcome that part of our heart home. This is so important because many of us sent that part away. We welcome back the despised, forsaken part, just as Jesus embraces us.

  35. Prayer for the Healing of My Heart Jesus, come now and do as you promised to do —heal my broken heart and set me free. (Listen here for what Jesus is saying.) Bring this place into your love and healing, bring this place home. I welcome your healing, and I welcome this part of my heart home. Come, bind me up and make me whole.
