The signal starts with U WirelessU: Why? • Education is the key enabler: • Technology is not limiting deployment • Policy generally OK now also • Low cost operations (OPEX) requires mostly local Operations staff • Locally-based deployment improves the local economy and creates good jobs • Broadband in rural requires lower cost service • $4/month broadband? • Moore’s Law supports this • Operations does not require an Engineering Degree but can be learned with these classes and on-the-job training
