EFAM Review • Proposed Amendment 5 to International Bylaws • CPI-U +1% annual dues calculation to start January 1, 2014 and end January 1, 2019. • Publication of dues rate will be March 1. • Proposed Amendment 6 to International Bylaws • The IAAP HQ fiscal year is now October 1 through September 30. • Chapters do not need to adjust their fiscal year to match. • Proposed Amendment 17 to International Bylaws • Members in the Professional classification will see a $50 increase in dues beginning January 1, 2014. • The Background & Facts document describes initiatives for the use of the funds. • The Foundation of IAAP Amendments • All six amendments passed. • The Foundation will now be moving to a Regent representation system.

EFAM Review – business highlights • Business highlights • $50,702/year – The average salary of IAAP members • Membership has been on the decline • A concrete Strategic Plan is now in place • Focus will be on Retention & Recruitment • Working groups are being formulated to implement the Strategic Plan. • There will be a large Social Media presence. • A PAYMENT PLAN FOR DUES!

Our new vision is to be the premier network and resource for the administrative profession. Our Core purpose is to ensure individuals working in office and administrative professions have the opportunity to connect, learn, lead and excel. “The associations that have relevance in the future will be those that tackle the tough questions and decisions today —leading to radical change tomorrow. Top Initiatives for 2013-2015 • Retain 100% of current membership while increasing membership – Five new members by July 2014, and a total of ten by July 2015. • Increase technology related programs and training. • Implement a shadow program for leadership positions. • Increase outreach and to Omaha area companies through marketing and personal contact. • Host a positively memorable and successful 30th Anniversary Administrative Professionals Day Breakfast Event. • Align Chapter Strategic Business Plan with the International Strategic Plan.
