Meet the Woman Behind Juniper & Pine Organics’ Skincare Products After searching for years to find skincare products that would work for her—but to no avail— Anna Perkins decided to take matters into her own hands and start her own skincare company. Before doing so, she and her sister would regularly talk about their skincare routines. They dished on what worked, what didn’t, and how they wished there were more natural and organic lines that worked better for them. While Anna has a combination skin type her sister has sensitive skin, which reacted to everything she put on it. For several years, Anna covered up her skin with foundation and concealer, hoping that would be enough to hide her underlying skin issues. She finally realized that she had to get to the source of her skin frustrations by dialing in her skincare first. At that time that she decided that if she wanted a more effective, non-toxic solution, she’d have to create her own skincare line. Enter Juniper & Pine Organics, born out of not only necessity but also the desire to provide natural, plant-based products, including a cleansing oil and facial serum, that would be great for both Anna and her sister. Her sister’s sensitive skin would prove to be the ultimate litmus test because it meant Anna would have to create gentle and irritant-free yet effective products, including a natural face mask powder.
