  2. Come People of the Risen King Come People of the Risen King Who delight to bring Him praise Come all, and tune your hearts to sing To the Morning Star of grace.

  3. From the shifting shadows of the earth We will lift our eyes to Him Where steady arms of mercy reach To gather children in.

  4. Rejoice!! Rejoice!! Let every tongue rejoice! One heart, one voice, Oh, Church of Christ, Rejoice!!

  5. Come, those whose joy is morning sun, And those weeping through the night. Come, those who tell of battles won, And those struggling in the fight.

  6. For His perfect love will never change, And His mercies never cease, But follow us through all our days With the certain hope of peace.

  7. Rejoice!! Rejoice!! Let every tongue rejoice! One heart, one voice, Oh, Church of Christ, Rejoice!!

  8. Come, young and old from every land, Men and women of the faith. Come, those with full or empty hands, Find the riches of His grace.

  9. Over all the world His people sing; Shore to shore we hear them call The truth that cries through every age: “Our God is all in all.”

  10. Rejoice!! Rejoice!! Let every tongue rejoice! One heart, one voice, Oh, Church of Christ, Rejoice!! ***

  11. Be Strong in the Lord Be strong in the Lord, and be of good courage; Your mighty Defender is always the same! Mount up with wings, as the eagle ascending; Victory is sure when you call on His name!

  12. Chorus Be strong, be strong, be strong in the Lord, And be of good courage, For He is your Guide.

  17. 1 Corinthians 9:27 • I do not run aimlessly, I do not box as one beating the air; but I pommel my body and subdue it, lest after preaching to others I myself should be disqualified.

  18. What is the one thing that God allows to hinder His working? • Unbelief • He set up His plan to include Faith as a key factor in the fulfillment of that plan. • Only a few days' journey from thePromised Land – What happened?

  19. Numbers 13-14 • WE ARE UNABLE • GOD IS NOT ABLE • This verdict is the most appalling accusation ever to fall from human lips! • Unbelief discredits andlimits the work of God! • Psalm 78:41; Matthew 13.58

  20. Unbelieffesteredinside them and led to rebellion. • GOD’S PROGRAM GROUNDTO A HALT FOR 40 YEARS! • That generation was disqualified from entering the Land.

  21. Not because of walls or giants; • butbecause of their heart attitudes of unbelief and rebellion. • God seeks to bless those who trust Him. Prov 3.5; 2 Chr 6.19

  22. Hear the pain in God’s words:Numbers 14:20-23 • “I won’t do it with this generation of people, but, believe Me, I will do it!” • God will not work through unbelieving and stubborn people! • He waitedfor the next generation.

  23. 1 Corinthians 9:27-10:13 • Paul didn’t want to be disqualified. • He didn’t want to fall into some temptation and end up on the shelf. • The purpose of the Biblical record: • God doesn’t want us to fall into or be captured by disqualifying sins.

  24. Principles of Victory • v.12 We can’t do it alone… • We must “take heed” to fight the temptations and face the tests that could lead to disqualification. • v.13 There is a “Way of Escape” • Faith in God for every battle • God’s forgiveness and mercy when we fail • You are able because He is able!

  25. Psalm 23 The Lord’s my Shepherd, I’ll not want. He makes me lie in pastures green. He leads me by the still, still waters, His goodness restores my soul.

  26. Chorus And I will trust in You alone And I will trust in You alone, For Your endless mercy follows me, Your goodness will lead me home.

  27. Psalm 23 He guides my ways in righteousness, And He anoints my head with oil, And my cup, it overflows with joy, I feast on His pure delights.
