  1. Matthew 16:18, Acts 2:47, Psalm 127:1 Jesus said, "I will build my church." After Pentecost, "The Lord added to the church those who were being saved." The Psalmist pointed out, "Unless the Lord build the house, they labor in vain that build it."

  2. Question #1 Is Jesus still building His church?

  3. "It appears that the mega churches are feeding off the carcasses of the smaller ones - overall growth, if there is any, is minimal." Carl George

  4. We know in its history the church has seen seasons of phenomenal growth - it is well documented. But what about now?

  5. One much listened to radio teacher insists, "The church age is over." Perhaps God's purpose is now to be fulfilled solely through individuals.

  6. Question #2 Is the church as we know it man-made?

  7. "But Samson did not know that the LORD had left him." Judges 16:20

  8. St. Peter's Cathedral in Rome, a phenomenal structure allegedly built with its altar positioned directly over what was thought to be Peter's grave.

  9. Just because someone is large does not mean they are healthy - - that goes for the church as well.

  10. Question #3 If the church is not being "added to," does that mean the Spirit of Pentecost is no longer present?

  11. It is verifiably true that worldwide, the Pentecostal churches are at the front of the growth pattern in Christianity. Why not in the U.S.?

  12. Question #4 If the Lord intended to build the church, did he mean that He would do it by himself, or did He expect His disciples to partner with him?
