  2. The Human mind • This silent film relates to the human mind is that fear is in the human mind and people are afraid of mimes. This could be related through coulrophobia and a mime is a silent clown to some people. This links into our silent movie as it’s about facing your fears and triumphing over them.

  3. Plot • A silent film which involves a mime that traps an innocent bystander named Harry in a mimeified box ( that nobody can see) and passes the mimefection onto Harry by holding him at mime point. But everything this mime mimes is real.

  4. locations • College-so people don’t think we’re murdering someone and call the police • Preston town center- streets and alleys that will be useful to film. Have many options on where to film • Avenham Park – lots of oppurtunities for filming such as a good view with trees, river and walkways.

  5. Character biography • The Mime: • Able to click fingers • Can mirror peoples actions • Ability to make the things he mimes be real • Harry: • Average height • Young • Naïve

  6. Props • Beret / Stereotypical French hat • Striped Top • Face Paint • ‘Fake’ blood • Rock

  7. Editing Plans • Quick cutting • Fade to black at end • Blood splat on camera lens (visual effect) • Slow paced/quick paced editing to build tension • Black and white to make it look like an original silent movie • Old fashioned text to make it seem like an original silent movie

  8. Music • Slow music for calm flowey moment • Faster music for tension building • High pitch screeching for the scary murdery parts

  9. Time Scale • Pre-Production: Half of a week • Filming: One and a half of a week

How to make sure it’s professional • Have back-up actors incase the actor isn’t available or isn’t good • Shoot shots multiple times • Multiple angles of shots to chose which shot is the best • Multiple settings • Different lighting techniques • Make no contingency errors • Clean editing • No repeating shots
