    3. Magna Carta In 1215 King John signed the Magna Carta which limits the things that a King can do by the laws English Monarchs also had to deal with being limited in ways that no other monarch in Europe did NOT An English King is NOT absolutely in control, he is a limited monarch

    4. Hundred Years’ War Destructive War fought between France and England The War changed England politically. But how? English kings had to “check” with parliament before they could take more money or raise taxes. This gave parliament the “power of the purse”

    13. Fun Facts… Cromwell is dug up and post-humously executed just to show the people that England likes monarchy and any dictators can expect the same. We aren’t messing around! He was hanged, drawn and quartered, then his head was stuck on a pike for over 50 years!!!

    16. Parliament searches for someone to replace James II and settles on his sister Mary. GLORIOUS REVLOLUTION occurred when James II was overthrown without fighting and William and Mary took over the throne and agreed to a constitutional monarchy.
