  2. Maule´s Region: Caracteristics of the region • The capital of theregionis Talca and there are anotherimportantcities: Linares and Cauquenes • Theseventhregionisthetransitionbetweenthe central and suthernregion • It ´s caracterizedbybeautifulvalleys and pleasanttemperatures

  3. Rivers • Maule region has two major rivers ; near Curico city we can find the Mataquito river and south city the Maule river. The Mataquito river has two sources. Teno and Lontue rivers and flows to the Pacific Ocean south to the Vichuquen lake. This river is used for agriculture • The Mountains thaws are the sources of Maule river, it is the river that has been studied the most, it also was the first navegable river from Chile. It flows into the Pacific Ocean just across Constitucion city.

  4. Deer Valley: It´slocated 20 kms. East of theNational Reserve Altos Lircay. Mountainedvalley, withsomestreamswherelivesthe “Parrot Tricahue”. In this sector are locatedheadedDesacabezado Grande and Desacabezado Chico thevolcanos In thisvalley, riverriseWhitey and Course, whereyou can practice sport fishing. There are alsosuitableareas, for camping and can betraveledonfootorhorsback. Vilches Alto exists in campgrounds, lodging and meals The Mountained Valley

  5. SportingActivities • There is an activity which aims at catching fish, both at sea and in freshwater, that it can be for be sporting, recreational, tourist or hobby and that is with a fishing rod

  6. De Lanzamiento o “Spinning”:Is a cane of fish, which has got an artificial lure bait of anykind, to gether uniteds line, in this cane, the weight is neccesary for to perform the launch, is given by decoy or other item, not the line

  7. De Arrastre o Trolling: uses a personal fishing rod, equipped with an artificial lure or bait, as appropriate, together with a line that is dragged from a boat

Marine Resources • The number of marine species in the region is very large and abundant, include: Pelagics: Pretty , Spanish Sardine, Anchovy, Horse Mackerel, Mackerel, Sardines Common Demersal species: Conger Colorado Black Conger, Conger Dorado, Hoki, Hake common. Crustaceans: Crayfish Yellow, red shrimp, crab Chiloé, Camaron Nylon. Mollusks: mussels, Loco, clams, clam Taca, Macha

  9. Ecological: Caring for nature Do not throw garbage .Yes you brought, you wore it. If you find trash and can pick up, many people will thank you Practice elcatch and release (to return the specimen caught in the river) Do not fish more than the specimens permitted by law, respecting the established minimum sizes and weights Respect seasons of life of the species Security: Using the equipment indicated according to the particular fishing conditions Not in place potentially hazardous Recommendations

  11. National Park • TORCA LAGOON NATIONAL RESERVE : Located 108 kms. west of Curico, of which 70 are paved. It has anarea of 604 hectares. and analtitude of 150 to 269 m.s.n.m. The flora consists of variousspecies, accordingtothevarioussectorsthatconstituteit. Thevegetationonthebanks of thelagoonthere are rushes and reeds, and aquaticspecies, thelanguage of water, hair and Grassmarshfrog. In theforest sector Llicocomposed of exoticspeciessuch as pine, maritimepine, acacia Australian and a variety of eucalyptus, which, alongwithherbaceous and shrubvegetation, nowplayanimportant role to stop theadvance of sand . Cerrillos Island iscoveredgenerallybysclerophyllforestspecies, such as peumo and liter. In wildlife, birds are themost visible grouprecordedover 90 species, mainlyemphasizingtheblack-neckedswan, crowswamp, swan coscoroba and sevencolors. Amongthemammalsthepresence of nutria, fox, quique. Theadministrationis 3 kms. thetown of Llico, anenvironmentalinformation center and picnic sites.
