  1. Tell About This: A stage 2 English rubric for composing oral texts • The Task: • Students will be provided with a visual and audio prompt from the ‘Tell About This’ app. • For 5-10 minutes they are able to think about the topic question/stimulus material and write some notes about how to answer, explain, describe, respond to it. • The notes are NOT meant to be a written speech. They are simply there as a guide or prompt. • When the students are ready, they open the app on their iPad and record their oral text. • It is saved into the camera roll and transferred to the class computer via a wifi share app so that the students’ work can be shared, discussed, compared and assessed. • Prior to attempting the task, it is advisable for students to be involved in a class discussion to jointly develop some criteria for how it will be assessed, what are the expectations, as well as how to effectively go about the task in order to be successful.
