OBJECTIVES • To present experiences gained from implementation of assessment activities according to the AUN-QA standards at FOB. • Since then promote some suggestions to prepare for the implementation of self assessment of training programs according to the AUN-QA standards and directions to external assessment for majors / specialized majors which have advanced training programs at UEH

Advantages • FOB’s management system is fairly good • FOB has remarkable activities organized annually • Many FOB lecturers have PhD degree • FOB has made preparation for a long time • FOB has the attention, close direction and direct lead of the Board of Rectors and supports, assistance of UEH departments.

  5. Advantages • Faculty leaders have unanimity and determination; most of lecturers and staff of FOB understand the importance of assessment and participant enthusiastically • FOB’s infrastructure is fairly good • Faculty has good connection with employers as well as stakeholders so it has many advantages in contact • The handbook of self assessment for training programmes is composed and uploaded on the UEH website by QA team..

  6. Difficulties • FOB took much time in arranging evidences and updating information • Infrastructure of FOB and University has not meet the AUN requirements • Most of evidences are documented in Vietnamese so it takes much time and effort in selecting and translating into English

  7. Lessons learnt • It should be consistent with the point of "learner-centered“ • Pay attention on participation, involvement and satisfaction of stakeholders • Have consentaneous among faculty’s members • Assure efficiency of student consulting activities.

  8. Lessons learnt • Regularly reckon and update data • Build process and plan • Arrange and systematize evidences • Infrastructure • Use “checklists”

  9. Suggestions • Review and improve ELO for all major / specialized majors of UEH • Review and complete evidences that serve as basic for the ELO. (Training system; training support and student consulting) • Suggest faculties should form an QA team (It has 2-3 members, including 1 faculty leader who is in charge)

  10. Suggestions • Faculties assess their operation status and show strengths, weaknesses, areas of improvement; consider to supplement and improve factors to meet AUN standards. • A close cooperation between QA team and faculties and related depts. is necessary in training program assessment according to AUN standards.

  11. QUALITY ASSURANCE PLAN AT PROGRAMME LEVEL ACCORDING TO THE AUN STANDARDS PERIOD 2013 - 2015

  12. QUALITY ASSURANCE PLAN AT PROGRAMME LEVEL 1. To form a committee for following results and areas for improvement of FOB; Support and follow action plan of areas for improvement; Keep supporting FOB in completing the status report after implementing changes.

  13. QUALITY ASSURANCE PLAN AT PROGRAMME LEVEL 2. Review and support faculties in building ELO of majors / specialized majors according to AUN standards.

  14. QUALITY ASSURANCE PLAN AT PROGRAMME LEVEL 3. Support faculties in implementation of self assessment of training programme according to AUN standards. In 2014, self assessment report will be expected to complete and head to external assessment for majors / specialized majors that have advanced training programme: Corporation Finance, International Business. In 2015, self assessment report of Accounting major and General Business Administration will be completed.

  15. QUALITY ASSURANCE PLAN AT PROGRAMME LEVEL 4. Build the database of quality assurance activities. 5. Compose guidelines for faculties in performing quality assurance activities at programme level according to AUN-QA standards from register stage, SAR writing to external assessment; simultaneous build QA handbook.
