Organizational Structure Legal Structure • Remain a 501 (c) 6 (same as today) • Update Bylaws and Articles of Incorporation • Introduce Board Member requirements: • Mustbe a member of Greater Grays Harbor in good standing • Introduce term limits – four two-year terms, a total of eight consecutive years of service max.

  7. Redefine attributes in a changing economy • Global Economy • Shipping rates • Foreign Markets • Growth sectors

Partnerships & Collaborations • Understand systems and strengths of partnerships at all levels • Engage local gov’t leaders about role and opportunities in proactive way • Work with state agencies i.e. Dept. of Commerce in recruitment of industrial opportunities • Work with local EDCs on development plans and growth opportunitis • Work with state/Federal workforce and WorkSource for training and employment programs.

Partnerships & Collaborations • Create stand-alone ED Corporation to manage economic development and build consistency in goals and direction. • Understand and embrace the changing world and new funding paradigm and need for collaborations. • Stop being “the definition of insanity”: doing the same thing and expecting different results.
