  1. WORD BOX • AGHAST ALDERS BARRACK BELFRY • BLEATING GILDED GIRTH GRENADIERS • Impetuous moorings SENTINEL SOMBER • SPECTRAL STEED TREAD ‘twas the Night Before the American Revolution ‘twas the night before the American Revolution and all through the ________ not a soldier was stirring, not even a __________ (you know, the soldiers that are responsible for the explosives). The ships were tied to their _________ with care, in hopes that the British-man-of-Wars would soon be there. The __________ paced back and forth keeping guard as Sam Adams, John Hancock and Paul Revere plotted rebellion in their yards. When from behind the _________, or shrub, what did I hear, but a British General barking “get your gear!” I stood there ________ at what I knew was to occur, the British were on the march; we were headed to war! With stealthy ________, I creeped away, knowing that I must warn Paul and the others in hopes of saving the day. So more ________ than an actual ghost, I made my way through the streets of Boston and toward the coast. Off in the distance one could hear the ________ of sheep, though I knew by the end of this day many a soul would weep (over the loss of life which was to occur). I mounted my _______ and with great haste, rode off to the Old North Church realizing there was little time for us to waste.

  2. 11. As I approached the _________ entrance to the Old North Church, I could only wonder how many families today would be hurt. 12. Never before had it struck me this church’s enormous _______; so large, so round, so wide. Trying not to be too __________ in my actions I hastily made my way to the ________ tower. I knew the mood across Boston tomorrow would be quite ________ as we were about to embark upon a course of action for which there would be no retreat. Yet, without hesitation, I did as I was told, and placed two lit lanterns in the window for all to behold.
