What do you know about a sentence? • A sentence is a group of words that tell a whole idea. • A sentence starts with a capital letter. • A sentence ends with punctuation (like a period or question mark). • A sentence has a naming part and an action part. • A sentence has the all the words in the right order so that it makes sense.

  3. One kind of sentence asks a Question Questions begin with capital letters and end with a question mark. A question mark looks like this. ?

  4. Did Pam see the eggs? Capital Letter Question Mark The sentence asks a question It asks if Pam saw the eggs.

  5. Can you swim? Capital Letter Question Mark The sentence asks a question. It asks if you can swim.

  6. Have you been to a park? Capital Letter Question Mark The sentence asks a question. It asks if you have been to a park.

  7. What do zebras eat? Capital Letter Question Mark The sentence asks a question. It asks what zebras eat.
