Coast to Coast: from the Adriatic to the Mediterranean Sea.New Models of Tourist Cooperation between Italy and the Balkan Regions PROJECTS INTERREG IIIA ADRIA-TURPreparatory actions for an integrated tourist offer of the Adriatic coast January 2004 - June 2007 Area of intervention: Tourism To develop tourism in the Adriatic area and in particular to integrate the specificities of the various regions involved in order to meet increasingly more demanding market needs though the supply of “inter-Adriatic” innovative, flexible and customized tourist products. The project intends to match the high performance and traditional hospitality of Emilia-Romagna with the natural beauty of Croatian tourist destinations, by enhancing a closer co-operation between the two sides of the Adriatic Sea and by networking the different holiday resorts, and to build new local opportunities.

Coast to Coast: from the Adriatic to the Mediterranean Sea.New Models of Tourist Cooperation between Italy and the Balkan Regions PROJECTS INTERREG IIIA ADRIA-LINKInstitutional and training co-operation – Inter-Adriatic Labour Services January 2004 - June 2007 Area of intervention: Training The main aims of the project are: to foster development and to strengthen local authorities, democracy, civil and social dialogue among the various institutional and intermediate bodies partners of society in the Adriatic area; to develop and test new forms of cooperation between education and training institutions, on one hand, and, on the other hand, to develop new action tools for the labour market in the tourism sector, which seems to be in the best position to become the driving force and the most suited area for a progressively closer co-operation between the respective labour markets.

Pilot Project for the creation of sea links between Emilia-Romagna and Croatia January 2004 – December 2007 Area of intervention: Transport The project intends to make cross-border mobility easier by strengthening the trans-Adriatic intermodal transport network, to integrate the Northern Adriatic area with other international transport networks (Pan-European Corridor 5), to improve environmental sustainability of links that contribute to enhance the tourist offer quality in the area in an integrated way. Thanks to cross-border transport services, the IN.RO.SE. project also intends to reduce road traffic in favour of sea transport, with considerable advantages both in environmental and safety terms.
