  2. A Culture of Meetings • 4 Safer Suffolk Partnership Board Meetings – Approx 3hrs each • 4 Executive Group Meetings – Approx 3hrs • 20 Responsible Authority Group Meetings – Approx 3hrs • 60 Officer Working Group Meetings – Approx 2.5hrs • Approx cost over £150,000

Wider picture • Changes to the Suffolk Strategic Partnership • Other LAA Delivery Partnerships are reviewing frequency, for example; no longer an Adult Learning and Skills Delivery Partnership or Economic Prosperity Board • Being challenged to review all partnerships and focus on being action orientated and improving outcomes. • Reduction in resources available to attend meetings • Other parts of the country have merged their boards and supporting structures.

  5. Can we do it better? • Lessons learned from the ASB review • Need to meet the statutory requirements • Focus of Board – is it strategic enough?

  6. Next Steps… • Agreement to explore potential for collaboration between districts and borough councils / police / county council and other interested parties relating to community safety function. • Can use this process to review CSP structures too • Ideas for any quick wins?
