Seminars on Regulatory Law University of Brasilia Research Center on Administrative Law and Regulatory Practice (NDSR/UnB) will be holding a series of seminars on Regulatory Law, addressing Brazil's regulatory framework and practice on energy, telecommunications, land transportation, antitrust, ports, and sanitation. It will take place at the University of Brasilia School of Law, room AT-07, from March 14, 2014, to May 23, 2014. Click here to download the program. CPRLatam Regional Conferences CPR LATAM (formerly known as ACORN-REDECOM) is a cross-disciplinary academic network which seeks to advance knowledge about the social, economic and political impact of ICTs in the Americas. CPR LATAM is now soliciting submissions for its 2014 annual conference, which will be held at Universidad del Rosario in Bogotá (Colombia) on May 30th-31st. The conference brings together scholars, policymakers, and members of the private sector working in the ICT policy and development field. The event will be on the afternoon of Tuesday, February 19th, 2013, and is being organized by the Center for Communications Policy at the University of Brasilia, sponsored by the Teletime News. The event will be on the afternoon of Tuesday, April 16th, 2013, and is being organized by the Center for Communications Policy (CCOM), and the Sectorial and Regulatory Law Research Center (NDSR) at the University of Brasilia, sponsored by the Multimedia and Internet Research Center (NMI). EVENTS The Senate Committee on Infrastructure held hearings on the main issues discussed at the Congress since 2009 that affect Brazil's development. It took place at the Senate Infrastructure Committee, on March 27-28th, 2014. The Telecommunications Panel was coordinated by prof. Marcio IorioAranha, from the University of Brasilia Center on Administrative Law and Regulatory Practice. Telecommunications Law Review The purpose of this event is to gather about 500 participants covering all areas of Marine Sciences, including Social Sciences such as Law and Economics, and to create new interactions between the two countries and also between the different fields of research and the industries. The aim is to think together about the structuring and the interactions in marine scientific in Brazil.
