  2. Exceptional Individual Project • Who inspires you? Has a famous person in history accomplished something that interests you? Are you interested in an extraordinary invention of some sort? Has an event that has taken place due to some one’s heroic effort inspire you? • If you are not sure who this person is to you, you will find out through this experience!

  3. Researching YOUR exceptional individual • You will conduct your research in and outside of class. • Books, internet, journals, videos can be used as research tools • Final project requires you use a minimum of • 2 internet sources & 1 hardcopy (ex: book) • Computer research time will be given frequently during class

Guided Process -Finish up paper and visual -practice presentation -present in class -Research & est. sources -write research paper on individual (3pg) -create visual for presentation (poster, power point, dress up & props) -Select individual & get approval -Start research -10 factors that are interesting about the individual

How to earn an “A” What you need: • Internet Sources • 3 Internet sources: These can be websites, online journals, online books, etc • Hardcopy Sources • 2 Hardcopy sources: These sources can be books, magazines, journals, newspaper, etc • Oral • Each student will be required to present their project to the class. You must be prepared and use your visual during the presentation in class. • Visual • A visual can be composed of a powerpoint, a poster board, a video clip, or any visual that relates to your person (you will have to get permission from me first). You will use your visual to further connect with the audience and gain their attention. • Written • A written essay -correct grammar & punctuation -at least 3 pgs long • Why you selected this person? • How this relates to you personally? • What did you learn from this project? • References • You will need to document the sources you used to put this project together. Any quoted material must be credited. DO NOT PLAGERIZE!!!
