Get out your Homework • Literary Analysis Square + Paragraph • The House on Mango Street book open and face down to page 12 • Partner Review for Card Quiz ( 3 minutes): Review what you learn about Cathy. Consider whose voice or voices the Cathy Queen of Cats vignette is told through. Discuss: Rachel and Lucy: How similar to Esperanza and Nenny? How different?

  3. Quick Quiz (books open, skim textas needed) Cathy Queen of Cats • Cathy keeps moving because….. • Whose voice (or voices) is this vignette told through? How do you know? • There are two signs that Cathy is “not all there”. They are….. • How old do you think Cathy is? • What’s the effect of mentioning France?
