  2. What is a “Foldable Note”? • A foldable note is a three dimensional graphic organizer styled page of info in a student’s notebook • Can take on a variety of forms, complexities and detail • They “reinvent” the traditional style of writing notes

  3. Foldable Notes • Designed to further engage students in the mapping of their math learning • Can be used effectively to present new information and/or to summarize content • Might just reinvigorate your practice 

  4. “Foldable Notes” are NOT… • …a time filler for class time • …guaranteed to raise your test scores or make every kid understand • …limited to just basic content WARNING!

  8. How does one “make” a Foldable Note? Here’s what you need: • Source of inspiration - Colleague, friend, mentor - Pintrest, Social Networking, etc. • Creativity Willingness (courage?) to take a risk The basic steps: Brainstorm the “needtoknowinfo”? 2) How can that info be clearly mapped, organized, engaging for kidstocreate?! 3) Isitinteractive?
