  5. John was sick. • John took his medicine. • John was sick. • He took his medicine.

  6. The Pronouns as an Object. Subject Object I Me You You He Him She Her It It We Us You You They Them

  7. After aPrepositionwe use the Object. • I gave a book tohim. • Between you and me, he is rather lazy.

  8. After a Conjunction we use the Subject. • My cousin is younger than I.(am) • My mother bought more items than I .(did)

  9. Possessive Pronouns • We use Possessive Pronouns to show that something belongs to someone. • The Possessive Pronouns are My Your His Her Its Our Their

  10. Examples: • That is my book. • The dog found its ball. • Sally took her cat to the vet. • This is his pencil.
