  8. Problem Identification For everyone, Personality is very important. So Ngee Ann Polytechnic, the school of industry trains the students to be good person in the future. The rules such as “Not to wear the slipper”, “No long hair”, “Not too revealing” etc are for the students to train to be the right way. Although there is such rule in Ngee Ann, the students do not follow the rules. Generally, some students(Girls) wear short skirt and some students(Guys) wear slippers and keep long hair.

SOLUTIONS PROPOSED -Every lecturers, staff have the right to warn the students who are not in proper attire, not only the warders. - Personal Education for the students every semester. - Increasement of fine from $50 to $100. - Immediate action taken for those who are caught for violating the regulations. - Camera capture - Counselling

  15. SOLUTIONS PROPOSED • Standardize everyone clothes like having school attire • Increasement the numbers of warders • Conduct surprise checking during lectures

  16. The thing that we need to consider for Solution

  17. Verification of Solution 1)Every lecturers, staff have the right to warn the students who are not in proper attire, not only the warders. 2)Increase of fine from $50 to $100. 3) Immediate action must taken for those who are caught for violating the regulations.

  18. Implementation of Solutions For the rules now, the first time being caught for violating the rules, the student caught first time will only get a warning letter and the second time caught then only they get a fine of $40-$60. Immediate action Every lecturers and staffs will have to undergo lessons on how to deal with those students having long hair or wearing slippers, revealing clothes or short mini skirt and how to deal with them..

Immediate action - Students being caught with wearing slippers, their slippers will be confiscated immediately, causing them to walk around bare-footed. - Male students being caught with long hair, their hair will be immediately cut off by the warden. - Female students being caught wearing revealing clothes, they will be asked to changed into Ngee Ann PE shirt. - Female students caught wearing skirts that are too short, they will also be asked to changed into Ngee Ann PE short.
