Mission • Provide academic leadership training, mentoring, and networking opportunities for women engineering faculty • Provide programs to encourage women engineering PhD students to consider an academic career • Serve as a clearinghouse for information and data related to women in academic leadership

  7. Leadership Development Conferences • 3 day events • Common modules • Academic leadership roles, responsibilities • Skills development • Team building • Advice from the trenches • Assessment and evaluation

  8. Advanced Leadership Workshops • Use post-LDC assessment ot identify needs/interests • Budget, legal issues, media training, program building • Time for networking and open discussion

  9. Outcomes • Greater diversity in academic leadership • Pro-active development of academic leadership (positional and non-positional roles) • Strong network of women academics
