Essential characteristics of the QS system • Main goal is Feed and Food safety • Compliance with legal requirements EU-Foodlaw, Hygiene regulations, animal protection etc.(e.g. EU reg. 178/2002, 852-854/2004, 183/2005) • Extra legal requirements within the QS systeme.g.- Salmonellae monitoring- Positivlist for feed ingredients- Residue monitoring 21. Essential characteristics of the QS system • Products are produced and marketed under well defined criteria • special criteria for every process step (QS-guidelines) • The participating companies commit to establish a traceable documentation and internal control • transparency of every process step • Independent audits assure compliance of the QS-criteria (EN 45011) • administration of the audit results in a central database • sanctions in case of violation • Participation on a contractual basis • System and sanction contract • System participant use the QS-Logo • Communication to the consumer 21.
