Properties of Good Quality Polycarbonates Known for their chemical resistance properties and durability, these PC transparent coloured granules are widely used in the plastic industry in the formation of various products such as bottles, electronic item bodies, injections, PC granule-coloured taillights, buckets, containers, boxes, and many others. Here are some properties of PC granules that make them perfect for a variety of uses:

  3. Toughness and High Impact Strength Polycarbonate is very sturdy and resistant to impact and fracture. It also provides safety and comfort in applications that require high performance and reliability. Its density is 1.2 – 1.22 g/cm3, and it has the ability to maintain a toughness up to 140°C to -20°C. They are almost unbreakable.

  4. Transmittance Polycarbonate is enormously clear plastic and can transmit 90% and more light, which is good as glass. PC granules are available in several colours and/or can be customized according to the requirement. PC siemens grey granules, PC FR milky white, PC black granule, and many more colours are available.

  5. Lightweight This feature gives the Original Equipment Manager (OEM) limitless potential. Lightweight also means increased efficiency, an easy installation process, and lower transportation costs overall.

  6. Protection from UV Radiations Polycarbonates can be easily designed to block ultraviolet radiation and offer 100% protection from harmful UV rays.

  7. Optical Nature As Polycarbonates have amorphous structures, they offer superb optical properties. They have a refractive index of 1.584.

  8. Heat Resistance Polycarbonates are thermally stable to the temperature of 135°C, which means they offer excellent resistance to heat. Adding flame retardants enhance this property without impacting its properties.
