  2. OXIDATION STATE OF METAL ION • THE METAL ION WITH HIGHER OXIDATION STATE CAUSE LARGE CRYSTAL FIELD SPLITTINGTHAN IS DONE BY THE ION WITH LOWER OXIDATION STATE.
