  1. Surgical technique Harvest the Semitendinosus and Gracilis tendons

  2. Surgical technique Whipstitch graft ends with #2 Ethibond (2 cm)

  3. Surgical technique Soft Tissue and Bone Tendon Bone Femoral half tunnel: 25-30 mm depth Tibial tunnel

  4. Surgical technique Drill tibial guide pin at 40-50o Typically 35-45mm long.

  5. Surgical technique Drill or dilate tunnel

  6. Surgical technique Insert the guide (attached to the appropriate size femoral rod) into the femoral tunnel until it touches the end

  7. Surgical technique Drill the sleeve-trocar assembly through the two holes of the guide into the lateral side of the femur

  8. Surgical technique Remove the guide frame from the knee, leaving only the two sleeves in the lateral aspect of the femur.

  9. Surgical technique Pull the graft into the tunnel using a guide wire

  10. Surgical technique Insert the RIGIDfix cross pins into the sleeves using the stepped pin insertion rod and mallet.

  11. Surgical technique Remove the sleeves. The graft is now fixed in the femoral tunnel by two parallel absorbable pins.

  12. Surgical technique Pull the graft in position Knot sutures in two loops (ST ends together and GR ends together). Knot 10-12 cm from tibial tunnel edge. 12 cm

  13. Technique • Pass the graft endoscopically • BTB blocks to face anterior, tissue posterior.

  14. BTB Graft

  15. Technique Femoral BTB fixation: • Insert a GW through anteromedial portal or PT defect. • Notch tunnel over GW. • Hyperflex knee, insert screw.

  16. BTB fixation • Transcondylar screw or pins

  17. Technique Tibial BTB fixation: • Tension graft distally. • Insert GW on superior surface of graft. • Insert screw.

  18. In the ST technique: there is “press-fit” not “hanging on”! 7 mm 7 mm 3.3 mm 10.3 mm 3.3 mm 10.3 mm 7 mm

  19. Orientation tests The ST tendons are whipstitched at the looped end, forming a tight bundle that is “press-fit” placed into the femoral tunnel. This allows RIGIDfix absorbable pins to cross the graft in any plane and provide rigid fixation.
