  3. Navigating BOLD 2.0 BOLD has been redesigned to improve the way the patient experience is documented. Even though BOLD has a new look, nothing has been lost. The workflow is more intuitive, making data entry more efficient. Welcome, data entry user [ Sign Out ]

  4. Navigating BOLD 2.0 Selecting “My Account” on the main menu bar takes you back to the account management system. Welcome, data entry user [ Sign Out ] My Account

  5. BOLD Home Logging into BOLD opens the practice’s home page. The tabbed menu bar enables you to easily move between the main sections of BOLD. For example, you can return to the home page at any time by clicking the “BOLD Home” tab on the tabbed menu bar. Welcome, data entry user [ Sign Out ]

  6. Setup Selecting “Setup” on the tabbed menu bar enables you to enter information for the surgeons, surgical assistants and facilities associated with your program. Welcome, data entry user [ Sign Out ]

  7. Setup: Preferences Selecting “Preferences” enables you to set your preferences for units of measure, whether patient names are displayed, date format and more. Welcome, data entry user [ Sign Out ]

  8. Forms & Reports The “Forms & Reports” section functions the same as it did in the previous version of BOLD. However, some of the reports have been improved based on user feedback, and additional reports are now available. Welcome, data entry user [ Sign Out ]

  9. Charting The “Charting” tab is where you add new patients or search for an existing patient record to update. Welcome, data entry user [ Sign Out ]

  10. Charting To reduce data entry time, we decreased the number of clicks it takes to navigate through BOLD. For example, you can now choose to save a patient record and add another patient, or save a patient record and open the newly created patient chart. Welcome, data entry user [ Sign Out ]

  11. Charting: Edit patient Selecting “Edit patient” enables you to search or browse for existing patients in BOLD. Welcome, data entry user [ Sign Out ]

  12. Patient Chart Opening a patient chart/record changes the options in the tabbed menu bar. These options reflect the path that the patient takes through your program. The window headers are blue instead of orange. This is a visual indicator that you are in a patient chart. Welcome, data entry user [ Sign Out ]

  13. Navigating the Patient Chart The patient chart follows the chronological experience of the patient. The tabbed menu bar enables you to easily move between the sections of the chart. For a new patient or new visit, BOLD automatically moves from top to bottom on each tab, then left to right as each section is completed. Welcome, data entry user [ Sign Out ]

  14. Patient Chart: Help Menu ? Selecting the (?) icon on the right-hand side of the screen opens a help menu for the data elements on the page. Welcome, data entry user [ Sign Out ]

  15. Patient Chart: Help Menu ? When you hover over each listing, the corresponding element is highlighted in yellow on the page. Click on the small arrow to view the data element definition and/or helpful hints about data entry. Select (?) again to close the help menu. Welcome, data entry user [ Sign Out ]

  16. Patient Chart: Quick Links BOLD now features time-saving “quick links” on the right-hand side of the screen. The “Add patient” quick link opens the patient registration page. Welcome, data entry user [ Sign Out ]

  17. Patient Chart: Quick Links The “Edit patient” quick link takes you to the “Edit patient” section of BOLD. From there, you can search for an existing patient. Welcome, data entry user [ Sign Out ]

  18. Patient Chart: Quick Links The “Tools” quick link opens your toolbox, which contains several new tools that have been added for your convenience. Welcome, data entry user [ Sign Out ]
