  2. What is a holiday rep? A holiday rep is someone who works throughout the summer and winter seasons in order to make sure holidaymakers have an enjoyable trip. Being a holiday rep you get to travel to all sorts of places around the world every 6-12months. You don’t stay at the same hotel for ages, unless required/want to.

  3. Job description. Main duties you do: working with children(kids club), sports, and events throughout the day and in the evening. Your day will usually start with you meeting your new arrivals at the airport and then guiding them to their desired transport to their hotel. From that point your duties may include: Giving an introductory talk on the facilities and the area Accompanying holidaymakers on excursions Helping to arrange entertainment Completing paperwork

Holidays don’t always go to plan for holidaymakers, so you may have to deal with loss of passports, medical issues and other unexpected dilemmas. info The summer season runs from April till September and the winter season for ski reps is from october until december. You work 12 hours a day, 6 days a week.

  5. Holiday seasons After the holiday season is over, people who love being a holiday rep can progress and train to becoming team leaders or resort managers. Others find works as a travel agent or tour guide. The skills you learn being a holiday rep( customer service, time management, events organising) are transferable to other jobs and also looks great on your CV.

  6. Qualifications You do not need any qualifications to become a holiday rep. if working with children you will need a crb check to make sure you are safe to be around them children. Taking travel and tourism in college/university will go on your cv and getting the job to be a holiday rep with this will higher your chance of becoming one.
