  6. Highlights Flexible Installations Projector withcorner keystone correction Active maintenancefilter 5 new interchangeablelenses

  7. Flexible installation • Corner keystone correction • Corner keystone correction enables clear and sharp image projections even when the projector is in an unfavourable position • Getting a perfect picture is as easy as 1, 2, 3... • The function can also be activated on the device or by remote control.

  8. 50% V 10% Before correction After correction H Flexible installation • Lens shift: • vertical: 50% • horizontal: 10% • Variable lens corrects any distortions without sacrificing quality • 360° installations: • Projector installation with its own axis • Flexible applications • Keystone correction: • vertical: +/-40° • horizontal: +/-20° • Electronic correction of any trapezoidal distortions

  9. Active Maintenance Filter Detection of soiling Automatic filter change • The PLC-XM100L features a filter box which is affixed to the front of the air intake • Number of filter changes: 10 • Lifetime: 1,300 h x 10 filter = 13,000 h non-stop operation • The filter change can be performed automatically or manually The air-filter sensor detects the clogged filter and automatically rolls up a new filter.

  12. Other features • Mechanical shutter • The mechanical shutter moves between the prism block and the lens • Presentations can be paused for a desired amount of time • Effective withholding of residual light from being projected on- screen Mechanical Shutter Lens Prism block Blocks protection light

  13. Extreme light-absorbant panel Anorganic layer UV- light Liquid crystal layer New material Limited UV-energy Limited deterioration of directional layer Other features • Inorganic LCD-Panel • Absorbs fewer UV rays • Increases service life • High investment retention • Natural colour reproduction, particularly deep black value and high contrast ratio ensure striking picture quality

  14. 11.00 14.00 0.00 9.00 13.00 10.00 12.00 8.00 Environmentally • High brightness with low power technology • The PLC-XM100L has a reduced power consumption per ANSI lumen brightness in comparison to its predecessor PLC-XT35L. 5,000 ANSI lumens, 400 W power consumption 12.50 ANSI lumens/Watt PLC-XM100L Huge efficiency improvement! PLC-XT35L ANSI lumens/Watt • The PLC-XM100L works cost-saving and environmentally compatible – high brightness output and less power consumption

  15. Eco-friendliness With its high-quality technologies, functions and production methods, SANYO is making a substantial contribution to environmental protection, thereby also complying with important laws and regulations. • Environmental management standard ISO 14001 • Avoids environmentally-harmful chemicals; reduces transport costs through intelligent product design; incorporates recycled and recyclable materials; covers logistics along the entire value-added chain. • REACh regulation • Refers to the legal registration, evaluation and authorisation of chemicals when manufacturing products, in order to keep the negative effects on humans and nature to an absolute minimum. • RoHS – Restriction for the use of hazardous substances in electronic and electrical equipment • As part of environmentally friendly product development, the amount of chemically harmful materials and components in end products is reduced.

  16. Eco-friendliness • WEEE Directive – Disposal of electrical and electronic waste products • Electrical and electronic equipment that falls under the 2002/96/EC Directive is no longer allowed to be disposed of with ordinary waste, but instead may only be disposed of by public waste disposal authorities, after which the products are returned to the manufacturer and importer. SANYO is working together with e-back GmbH to achieve this. • Power consumption in standby mode • From 2010, all of SANYO's new projectors will comply with the current EU regulation (no.1275/2008) governing the power consumption of household and office equipment in standby and off modes. This regulation stipulates that the power consumption in standby or off mode may not exceed 1.0 W when information and status displays are not enabled (except network-controlled projectors).

  17. Eco-friendliness • Eco mode • This is an environmentally friendly, energy-saving function that reduces the projector's illumination by up to 20%, thereby cutting power consumption. It also minimises fan noise and increases the lamp life. • Direct Power Off • This function enables the projector to be unplugged immediately after it has been switched off. This prevents power being used whilst the projector interior is cooling down. • Energy-saving function • To reduce power consumption and to ensure longer lamp life, the lamp is automatically switched off when no input signal has been detected for a relatively long period of time or when the device is not operated.
