  1. Warm-up • Using the given line segments, construct a line segment with length AB + 2EF – CD.

  2. Median The segment connecting the vertex of a triangle to the midpoint of its opposite side is a median. There are three midpoints and three vertices in every triangle, so every triangle has three medians.

  3. Midsegment • The segment that connects the midpoints of two sides of a triangle is a midsegment.
