  1. Welcome Back! Hello Aldrin families and welcome to the 2012-2013 school year! We are extremely excited to begin this year with your child, and we cannot wait to begin building relationships with all of the students on the 5/6 team! We hope that you enjoyed your summer and took some time for rest, relaxation and fun! We hope to see you all at Curriculum Night on Wednesday, August 22 from 6:00-8:00 pm! Meet our 5/6 Team of Teachers! Miss Levin & Mrs. Leja Mrs. Pike & Mrs. Keltner Miss Levin Hi Aldrin families! My name is Samantha Levin and this is my second year at Aldrin. I was a 5/6 multigrade teacher last year and I am beyond excited that our entire school is now switching to the multigrade structure. I attended the University of Iowa and graduated in the spring of 2011. I currently live in Arlington Heights with my family and my cute dog Max. I enjoy hanging out with my family and friends, as well as curling up with a good book! Any chance that I have to travel, I take it! This summer I had the opportunity to go to Boston and visit Fenway Park (Wrigley is still better!) and absolutely loved it! I am looking forward to another great year at Aldrin and getting to know all of our students! Mrs. Pike My name is Janice Pike. I have been teaching at Aldrin for 25 years. Most of my experience is in 5th and 6th grade. When I am not in school, I enjoy reading and spending time with my family. I am very excited to work will both age groups this year! Mrs. Keltner This is my sixth year teaching and second here at Aldrin School. I also teach the sixth grade Transitions Math class and love teaching math! I live in Crystal Lake with my 2 month old son, Caleb, my husband, dog, and three cats. I also love teaching dance classes and volunteering at my local animal shelter. I can’t wait to start another great school year at Aldrin! Mrs. Leja Hi! My name is Mrs. Leja and I am SO excited to be part of the Aldrin 5/6 grade team! More importantly, I am THRILLED to be your teacher! It’s going to be a fun year full of lots of learning and new adventures, and I can’t wait to see what the year has in store for us. I’m excited to be your teacher and for you to be apart of Room 217 family! We will learn a lot from each other this year and I’m ready to get started!! Aldrin 2012-2013
