Vision North Texas VNT is a private-public-academic partnership with three objectives: Increase awareness about expected growth, Serve as a forum for discussion among all stakeholders about critical issues, and Build support for initiatives that might create a successful and sustainable future for North Texas. People from all over North Texas have participated in VNT events and studies.

  3. Business as Usual By 2030 …. The region’s population will grow to 9.5 million. One third of the region’s households will live outside current urban areas in lower-density communities. 900,000 acres of agricultural land will be in other uses. The amount of impervious surface will double. We will have spent almost $98 billion on transportation improvements, but traffic congestion will still increase. By 2050 …. The region’s population will be almost 12 million. Existing water supplies and electricity production capacities can’t meet demands.
