  4. Application Process • Must apply via email by September 15, 2011 Slide 5

  5. Expanded Full Time Waiver • 25% of enrolled students, grades 6-12 • 100% of instructional time Slide 6

  6. Blended Learning Option • 100% of enrolled students, grades 6-12 • 50% of instructional time Slide 7

  7. ISD Charter Waiver • 100% of ISD-operated Public School Academy enrolled students, grades 6-12 • Enrollment capped 10% of total ISD student population, grades 6-12 • Frequent face-to-face instruction required (i.e., weekly) Slide 8

Waiver Application Process • If current waiver is working, stay with existing waiver • Any new flexibility will be added to the existing waivers 30 Days District Application SuptApproval Letter STW Evaluation Program MDE Application Review Implementation plan guidelines available at TechPlan.org/STW Implement- ation Plan ISD Application Review B. If current waiver doesn’t work, apply: • Submit “fill in the blank” application to STWapp@michigan.gov • MDE will check for completeness and forward to ISD • MDE or ISD may request applicant’s implementation plan Slide 15
