  1. Let’s Delve into Facets of Sukhad Yatra Application Technology can be considered as a panacea that can deal with mounting problems of the modern times. Countries across the world are leveraging the technology to the maximum extent in fighting a wide range of problems. When it comes to democratising technology, gadgets play a key role. As they are handy, people find them easy to operate and use. Above all, they are day to day becoming affordable to masses. So, public and private organisations are reaching out people with mobile applications. Even the Government of India (GoI) has promoting e-governance through its flagship program ‘Digital India’. Many government organisations have taken a cue from the GoI’s Digital India and introduced citizen-friendly mobile applications for a multitude of purposes. The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), which is a statutory body of Government of India and works under the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH), has launched a mobile application named ‘Sukhad Yatra’. Sukhad Yatra, which translates to a ‘happy journey’ in English, is a mobile application which functions effectively with GPS technology. This app is designed to empower national highway’s commuters with information and provide a room to raise complaints about issues/problems pertaining to highways. With multiple features incorporated in this app, the NHAI is aiming to address a lot of commuter-centric issues through it. Some of the interesting features of this App are: Nearby Toll Plaza and Toll Plaza enroute This feature helps commuters to devise their itineraries. By mentioning the source and destination, one can get to know the number of Toll Plazas that intervenes with his/her course of the journey. Using the Nearby Toll Plaza, commuters can gear up for the Toll payment procedures. Report an issue Using this App, commuters can raise complaints about the issues they face and report the condition of roads. This feature helps commuters demand accountability from the corresponding authorities. Users can even send visuals of the problems they encountered while travelling on Highways to the authorities, which can compel them to act faster. These are just two of the features that reflect the overall nature and purpose of this App. #SukhadYatra #FASTagTollPlaza
