Taking off shoes • People take off their shoes when they enter the room. • They separate the outside from inside with a step and a removal shoes. • They can feel relaxed to take off their shoes. • Japanese houses have tatami, a straw mat, it can be damaged by shoes. • Japanese usually sit on the floor, not a chair.

  3. Having a Bath • Most of Japanese houses have bath tabs. • Japanese like taking bath. • They enjoy bath with spa powder which is their favorite flavor. • Some people use a rest of water to wash their clothes. • People have to take a bath after thoroughly washing.

  4. Noisy Noodles • Japanese usually like noodles. • The slurping sound shows that people are enjoying the taste. • There are three different noodles, udon, soba, ramen. • They let noodles cool making noisy sound.

  5. Say Itadakimasu! • Everyone says ‘itadakimasu’ when the meal starts. • The word means thank you for what we are receiving. • Japanese don’t say grace at the beginning of a meal. • At the end of a meal, everyone says ‘gochisousamadeaita’ means almost same as ‘itadakimasu’.

  6. Let’s go Karaoke! • Karaoke was born in Japan. • It lets you sing along with prerecorded music. • Everyone has a lot of fun to sing there with their family or friends or co-workers. • It costs cheap, so it is easy to go for everyone.

  7. Overcrowded Trains • Especially in an urban area, many people go to school or work by trains. • Trains are crowded with so many students and workers. • Some people make up their faces there! • Some gropers in trains are big problem. • Crowded trains are a symbol of hard-working Japanese.

Bullet Train called Shinkansen • The shinkansen is a fast, safe mode of transportation that Japan takes pride in. • This Japanese railway skill are known and used all over the world. • The entire of Japan is covered by a railway network. • There are some big fans of railways called tetsuota or Techan.

  9. Giving tissues • The tissues are a form of advertising. • They are a free gift, but have an advertisement in the package. • This is a clever way of getting people to take an advertisement.
