  5. Main Page Information • Main Page has 3 areas • Tools: Check Student Progress • Announcements: Important Information student should know • Current Enrollments: Lists class student currently enrolled

  6. To check Student Progress Click on ‘Reports’ Click on blue ‘Student Progress’ button Tool Menu

  7. Student Progress • A progress box appears • System has built in calendar for pace • On schedule indicator should be Green • Green indicates good pace • Yellow indicates somewhat behind • Red indicates significantly behind • List of activities overdue below colored bar • Click to see list

Current Enrollments • Click on course name to enter • Most recent assignment worked on will open • May access and complete offline writing assignments, math workbooks, note taking and unit review • ABSOLUTELY NO QUIZ OR TEST ACCESS ALLOWED OUTSIDE OF LAB: ZERO GRADE WILL BE ISSUED WITH NO RETAKE OPTION

  13. Course Features • Left side of screen lists unit outline • Students should start at top and work down • Step by step. • Unit notes, practices, workbooks, etc. should be complete prior to attempting quiz or test • A Red square next to assignment indicates quiz or offline graded activity

  14. Important to Remember • Student must pass course with a 70% or higher as final grade • Each graded activity must show mastery with a grade of 70% or higher after any retakes, if necessary • Retakes are permitted for work with grades of 69% or lower • If fail a quiz/test 3 times, must review unit and notes & meet with teacher before next attempt • Zero grades issued for unauthorized access to quizzes and tests outside of lab • Notes are mandatory for every course. No notes = no grade. • Entire course must be complete before grade issued. No partial credit. • Accessing another student’s log in information & course = dismissal from lab and grade of ‘F’ issued. • Course designed for independent study. Student responsible for maintaining pace and completion. • End of unit tests/diagnostic can be taken only once!

Wrapping Up • Apex is designed for the independent learner • If your student has an issue, please notify the lab manager immediately. • If you have any questions, concerns or comments, please feel free to contact the lab manager.
