  12. PMBOK 5 is here! PMBOK 5 has been published! PMI members can obtain a download copy from PMI.org. Printed copies are available from Amazon or PMI Marketplace. The PMP Exam is scheduled to change on July 31, 2013. Changes include 1 new knowledge area and an increase in the number of processes to 47. NOTE: If you are still studying for your PMP exam, sign up for an exam slot early, it will be hectic in July. 12

  16. OPEN VOLUNTEER POSITIONS • FREE PDUS! • Are you aware that you can earn free PDUS for doing volunteer work for your local PMI chapter? As a general rule, you get one PDU for each hour served. • Current Open Positions • Director Marketing – This will look great on your resume. • Director Publications – Is PowerPoint your skill? This one is for you. • Director Workshops – A great way to promote PMI best practices • Membership Committee Members – Multiple positions available so grab your friends and apply together • Visit the KCPMI website at www.kcpmichapter.org to obtain the latest list of open positions and to submit your application. 16

  20. COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS KCPMI will again sponsor two college scholarships; each for $2,000. Qualifications: Applicants must be a member in good standing in the KC Mid-America Chapter of PMI; or the child/grandchild of a member. Applicant is enrolled (or will be enrolled in the fall 2013) at an accredited college or university, seeking a degree (Associate, Bachelor, Masters, PhD) in any academic program. Application Process: Complete the application as found on the PMIEF website at http://www.pmi.org/PMIEF/scholarship/ and submit to PMIEF. Deadline for all application materials is June 1, 2013. PMIEF selects the scholarship winners in the early fall. 20
