Federally Required • As part of Wisconsin’s waiver (ESEA Flexibility), the US Department of Education (USED) required states to establish ambitious but achievable AMOs and to publicly report performance on them: • Reading Proficiency (50%) • Mathematics Proficiency (65%) • Graduation (or Attendance) Rate (85%)

  18. AMO Reporting AMOs are part of Wisconsin’s accountability system, but they are not used to calculate the accountability scores that determine ratings and support. AMO data is reported publicly on the School and District Report Cards (but not factored into the accountability index) for all schools, regardless of Title I status.

  22. Statewide AMOs • 2012-13 Statewide Reading Performance • Reading AMO is 40.3% • Reading proficiency was 36.2% • 2012-13 Statewide Mathematics Performance • Math AMO is 52.9% • Math proficiency was 48.1% • Reading performance is 4.1% under the AMO. • Math performance is 4.8% under the AMO.
