Blizzards. I hate blizzards and snow storms. By : Haylie and Kassidee. What are blizzards. A blizzards is a long lasting snow storm, with strong winds, and intense snowfall. Some have been known to blow over cars, and cover up buildings. How does snow form.

  2. What are blizzards A blizzards is a long lasting snow storm, with strong winds, and intense snowfall. Some have been known to blow over cars, and cover up buildings

  3. How does snow form Snow forms when water/rain falling from the sky ,freezes into ice crystals. Snow forms when temperatures in the stratosphere is below or about -40 degrees Celsius

  4. Safety tips for blizzards Before a blizzard: Have a disaster plan. Also have a supplies kit including first aid kit, canned food, and can opener, bottled water, and a flashlight. During a blizzard: Stay indoors. Dress warmly, and eat regularly , because food provides the body with energy for producing its own heat. Don’t go outside or you might get hypothermia or frostbite!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! After a blizzard: Stay off the roads. At least until its okay to drive on them. Stay indoors . Dress warmly. In things such as coat, sweater , gloves , boots , and toboggans. :

  5. What is wind chill The wind chill is the temperature your body feels when the air temperature is combined with the wind speed. The higher the wind speed the faster exposed areas of your body lose heat and the colder you feel

  6. What is frostbite Frostbite is damage to the skin due to prolonged exposure to cold temperatures, usually below 32° F.

  7. Did you know facts * If caught outside in a blizzard, it is not a good idea to eat snow because it will lower your body temperature. It’s best to melt the snow first. *Rochester, New York is the snowiest large city in the U.S., averaging 94 inches of snow a year.
