  1. My Digital Narrative By: Justin Cheng My Chronological Timeline of Video Game Experiences.

  2. My First Experience Age: 7-9 Learned how to read, and the basics of strategy in games like Pokemon, and education games like Oregon Trail.

  3. Age: 10-11 “My Origins” • Learned how to cooperate with others in team games, and also determination to win in games that consists of killing other players, and winning Pokemon battles.

  4. Age: 12 “The Competition Starts” • Learned new traits within video games, like responsibility and determination in finishing what I started.

  5. Age: 12-13 (7th to 8th Grade) • 1stexperience with online gaming, which allowed me to function and socialize online. Learned to resource, and strategize as well. I even learned some of the basics ways of life through the game, Runescape.

  6. Age: 14-15 “The New Era” This was around Freshman/Sophomore year where the 360 came out, it changed gaming for me and many that I knew as it brought online gaming to a new level. I learned everything that you could learn from video games right on this console. Took up new interests like basketball just from video games, as well as the reflex skills needed for shooting games.

  7. My Personal Future with Video Games • Will continue to play, but my love for it has died down. • New games that interest me always come out, so there is always something new to learn. • I always gain new interests from video games, so hopefully that continues. • It’s one of the few things that I still have access to that reminds me of my childhood.
