  3. History of ID • Grant funded in past • Outside hires not used (nor trusted) • Results didn’t fit needs • Best practices discussion effort became Online Standards

  6. Our Problem • Need knowledgeable assistance for faculty that they trust and will use to enable all faculty to integrate technology and improve classroom learning, and operate within the adopted system and tools We help create autonomy.

  7. Solution • Team of innovative, adventurous faculty “in the trenches” assisting peers, guiding and modeling in our own classes We get better buy-in.

  8. Makeup of Team • 5 Full-time teaching faculty • ¼ load release each semester • Test in own courses and model best practices within departments • Individual areas of expertise • Work well together to share solutions to problems

  13. Suggestions for Your Model • Build from within – shows that you value work • Let them grow as team and individually • Provide administrative support • Don’t load their plates too much • Don’t make them “police” • Look for efficiencies • Let the team “gel”
