  1. The 1st Vision of Revelation: Chapters 1-3 Jesus is among His Churches And He knows us Let Us Overcome

  2. The 2nd Vision of Revelation: Chapters 4 - 7 The Lamb Rules from Heaven and God protects us IN our Sufferings. Let Us Stand firm

  3. The 3rd Vision of Revelation: Chapters 8 - 11 The 7 Trumpets warn the world of a coming Judgment Repent now

  4. The rest of mankind that were not killed by these plagues still did not repent of the work of their hands; they did not stop worshiping demons, and idols of gold, silver, bronze, stone and wood--idols that cannot see or hear or walk. Nor did they repent of their murders, their magic arts, their sexual immorality or their thefts. Revelation 9:20-21 (NIV)

  5. The purpose of the 7 Trumpets is to move people to repent in order to escape the Judgments that are coming

  6. 1st Trumpet Hail, Fire, & Blood 1/3 of earth & trees were burned, and all the green grass was burned

  7. 2nd Trumpet Fiery Mountain thrown into the Sea 1/3 of sea turned into blood, 1/3 of sea creatures died, 1/3 of ships destroyed

  8. 3rd Trumpet Blazing Star: Wormwood 1/3 of rivers and springs were turned bitter. Many people died.

  9. 4th Trumpet 1/3 of sun & moon and 1/3 of stars were darkened. 1/3 of day & 1/3 of night were without light.

  10. The first 4 trumpets show God using natural calamities to move people to repent of their rebellion against God.

  11. The fifth angel sounded his trumpet, and I saw a star that had fallen from the sky to the earth. The star was given the key to the shaft of the Abyss. When he opened the Abyss, smoke rose from it like the smoke from a gigantic furnace. The sun and sky were darkened by the smoke from the Abyss. Revelation 9:1-2 (NIV)

  12. And out of the smoke locusts came down upon the earth and were given power like that of scorpions of the earth. They were told not to harm the grass of the earth or any plant or tree, but only those people who did not have the seal of God on their foreheads. They were not given power to kill them, but only to torture them for five months. And the agony they suffered was like that of the sting of a scorpion when it strikes a man. Revelation 9:3-5 (NIV)

  13. The 5th Trumpet shows God using the tragic consequences of a sinful life to move people to repent.

  14. The sixth angel sounded his trumpet, and I heard a voice coming from the horns of the golden altar that is before God. It said to the sixth angel who had the trumpet, "Release the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates." And the four angels who had been kept ready for this very hour and day and month and year were released to kill a third of mankind. Revelation 9:13-15 (NIV)

  15. The 6th Trumpet shows God using death to move people to turn back to Him.

  16. Before the 7th Trumpet is blown, God sends His word as a witness against a sinful world

  17. Then I saw another mighty angel coming down from heaven. He was robed in a cloud, with a rainbow above his head; his face was like the sun, and his legs were like fiery pillars. He was holding a little scroll, which lay open in his hand. Revelation 10:1-2 (NIV)

  18. I took the little scroll from the angel's hand and ate it. It tasted as sweet as honey in my mouth, but when I had eaten it, my stomach turned sour. Then I was told, "You must prophesy again about many peoples, nations, languages and kings." Revelation 10:10-11 (NIV)

  19. Yet the world will reject God’s message of grace and persecute his messengers.

  20. Now when they have finished their testimony, the beast that comes up from the Abyss will attack them, and overpower and kill them. Revelation 11:7 (NIV)

  21. Bear in mind that our Lord's patience means salvation. 2 Peter 3:15 (NIV)
