  2. Objective: Develop and use a vocabulary to describe the mood and feelings expressed in different music selections pertaining to the 2011 floods in the Mississippi Delta.. • a. Interpret feelings expressed by specific examples of music. • b. Develop a musical idea or story that will express moods or feelings. • Students will view the powerpoint and listen to the song, “Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head” by B.J. Thomas. • After listening, they develop a musical story for each piece based • on the moods or feelings received from the music and pictures. • Evaluation: Teacher observation and feedback related to student participation and • story-telling.

  3. Yazoo River backwaters flood this Satartia, Miss., home because it is on the river side of the levee Monday, May 23, 2011. Several homes were flooded in the neighborhood.
