  1. What is Wet Pour Rubber? Wet pour rubber surfacing is an impact absorbing safety surface that can come in a variety of colours. It’s perfect for any outdoor space looking for a vibrant surface which offers high durability, maximum safety performance and cost effectiveness. Wet pour safety surface construction is formulated from rubber granules and polyurethane binders. The surface consists of two layers: a base layer of coarse black granules made from recycled tyre rubber and a coloured top layer of finer rubber granules. Abacus Playgrounds Wet Pour Surfacing: We pride ourselves on supplying an environmentally friendly option for surfacing which is suitable for a multitude of projects. From playgrounds to splash parks we can help bring your creative projects to life in any outdoor space. Our wet pour surfacing can be laid as part of a new construction, usually onto a dynamic crushed stone layer but it can also be laid onto existing hard surfaces. Our wet pour surfacing has been fully tested to BS EN 1177:2018 as safety is our number one priority and we want to ensure that users of the outdoor space are using surfacing that is safety compliant.
