Cake, balloons, and rainbowsu2026 oh my! Talk about heaven for kids (and adults alike!) u2013 this is it!<br>Last week I had a very special person come and visit the studio, one-year-old Sunday, and she quite literally lit up the room like the sun on a cloudy day! Iu2019ve been wanting to shoot a cake smash since I first saw one on my Instagram feed. I think they capture the perfect balance between a stylized photoshoot and genuine emotion so perfectly.

  2. Cake, balloons, and rainbows… oh my! Talk about heaven for kids (and adults alike!) – this is it! Last week I had a very special person come and visit the studio, one-year-old Sunday, and she quite literally lit up the room like the sun on a cloudy day! I’ve been wanting to shoot a cake smash since I first saw one on my Instagram feed. I think they capture the perfect balance between a stylized photoshoot and genuine emotion so perfectly. I only wish this shoot idea was around when my kids were babies! Instead, I have the very candid (and very messy!) version of each of them covered in spaghetti and sauce! For Sunday’s photoshoot, I teamed up with the amazing event stylists, Be Scene Events. Liv from the BSE team is an absolute dream to work with. Plus, just take a look at that balloon work… it’s so incredible! Our dreamy rainbow set elevated the photos and gave me so many colour options to work with when it came to the cake, Sunday’s outfits, and the overall mood of the images. Sunday was also completely bewildered by her surroundings – I think she was in as much awe as I was from behind the camera.
