  2. From humble beginningsto one of the UK’s busiest independent providers Event Fire Services was established in 2005 when the now Managing Director, Dave Ogden saw a fire/rescue van for sale. He contacted Glenn Ramsden of UK Event Safety, who was selling the vehicle and he explained how his organisation had used the vehicle and also gave Dave an insight into the contracts it covered. No one was to know at the time but this was the start of a great professional relationship and friendship that remains very strong to this day.

As a serving Crew Manager at a North Yorkshire fire station, Dave already had the necessary skill set needed to be able to operate a superbly efficient event fire safety team From humble beginnings with a handful of contracts, Dave has developed Event Fire Services into one of the busiest independent providers of event fire cover in the UK Our diverse portfolio includes a huge cross section of shows ranging from the smaller one day event through to the prestigious ‘Sonisphere’ rock festival staged at Knebworth Hall. Other clients that we enjoy contracts with include Live Promotions Events Ltd (Truckfest series) and BBC’s ‘Top Gear’

EFS Fire & Safety Servicesfrom an extinguisher to total care Our vehicles, equipment & services have been developed specifically to suit your needs We offer you a range of services bespoke to your needs – from a single fire marshal with hired fire extinguishers to our ‘Total Event Care Package’ with our team managing all aspects of safety for your venue from the initial planning process & fire risk assessment, working in partnership with the local authorities - to providing fire and rescue teams with a compliment of fully operational vehicles & equipment.

  6. EFS Medicalfirst aiders to fully functional medical response & management EFS specialise in ensuring that your paying guests are safe & receive proper care when it’s needed. In addition to the EFS Fire / Rescue & EFS Fire Safety, medical care is a key service in our diverse portfolio. An important element of EFS Medical are our Care Quality Commission registered ambulance teams. Our teams are all fully trained staff & qualified to national standards Our robust management system ensures that we are fully insured for medical malpractice & public liability & our vehicles and drivers are insured for blue light use

  15. Our Policies • Event Fire Services strive to provide a quality service, at a price you can afford • We are committed to making your event / film set a safer place to be. If a problem is identified it will be corrected immediately if at all possible - if not it will escalated to the next appropriate level • Our fire extinguishers are supplied with the British kite mark and are maintained according to British standards by our own BAFE qualified engineer • Our vehicles and equipment are checked and maintained up to county fire service standards by qualified staff and contractors • Our frontline staff receive comprehensive training and work within the home office risk assessment guides • We have comprehensive insurance cover in place for our vehicles and equipment • We also have £5m public liability and £10m employers liability insurance to cover all eventualities

Event Fire Services Operating ScheduleStatement (1) • We are a private fire & rescue service provider working to current home office standards using competent trained fire crews & our equipment maintained to a recognised standard, tested in accordance with current good practice. • All our staff work with safety in mind and operate in accordance with the Home Office publication "A Guide to Operational Risk Assessment" (a copy of which is carried on the fire appliances) • We provide a first line firefighting / rescue & medical service, working closely with event promoters & local authorities to reduce the risk of fire & other emergencies occurring wherever possible • The crews will operate regular patrols at key times & will be "on call" from site at other times via two way radio or mobile phone.

Event Fire Services Operating ScheduleStatement (2) • All incidents details will be logged with the promoter, and any incident that involves insurable risk, a record will be made on the form FDR 1, a home office fire report form, which will be passed on daily to the local county fire service control or fire liaison officer. (ie: car/ portable toilet/caravan etc) • Any incident that requires assistance from the county fire service will be dealt with by way of a 999 call with the appropriate address and access gate number being relayed and the promoter or EFS will met & escort their resources to the incident. The incident would then be formally handed over to the local authority brigade in accordance with command and control procedures. • This operating schedule is a generic guide to most events and may be modified to meet the approval of the local county fire service and councils
