  3. Equipment • First you need a team. • Second you need a jersey and shorts. • Third you need shoes. • fourth you need braces and accessories if needed. • Fifth you need balls and a court to play on. • Six you need to have some refs. • Seventh you need some athletic ability.

  4. Officials and their duties • Officials have to know the rules. • Officials have to be in a neutral mood. • Officials also have to be able to deal with kids. • Officials have to be good with children.

  5. Players and coaches • There has to be 5 teammates and 5 enemies. • There are usually 3 officials. • There is a shot clock. • There is a 5 second rule with the ball if you don’t dribble. • There is a backcourt rule.

  6. fouls • There are a lot of different kinds of fouls. • If you get fouled you get to shoot two free throws. • But if you are outside of the three point line you get to shoot three free throws. • Also if you make the shot and get fouled you those points and one more free throw. • You only get 5 fouls and you out.

  7. Goaltending • This is when the ball is above the rim and you touch it. • It also can be called ball interference. • They also get the two points if you goaltend. • You get the ball if you goal tend.

  8. Score board • The score board has a home and away score. • It also has the number of fouls. • It also has the time. • It also has a arrow to tell whose ball it is.

  9. Dunking • A lot of people can dunk in the NBA but there are some rules. • When you dunk you can not hang on the rim after. • If you do they will call a technical foul. • That means the other team will get to shoot two free throws and they will get the ball back.
