  1. Change in approach to education in India over the years The education system in India has gone through an unbelievable change. From the gurukul system to online classes, we have decided on a long journey. Education in India has been one of a kind since the ancient days. Vedic teaching, which was one of the first institutions on the planet, was based on a Gurukul system of learning. The major portion of our literature comes from that period which is indeed a heritage. In a Gurukul System, the students imbibed knowledge of basic subjects such as Maths, Science, Medicine, Astrology, etc. orally, while the students stayed with their gurus. Later times saw the emergence of early textbooks written on palm leaves with sharp objects. For higher education, the students needed to travel to other countries. It was only during the Buddhist period that Nalanda and Taxila University came into being. India has been the golden bird that has been conquered and annexed several times and the top CBSE Schools in Ahmedabadfeature the history recorded in their course books. With the change in colonial power, came a change in the method of education.

  2. The British Raj came with the wave of western education in the country, and the use of the English language expanded. Christian missionaries were set up, and English was used up as an official language making it known to most of the Indians. One of the remarkable features of western education was that they gave importance to women's education too. This gave rise to several rational thinkers who came out of the thought of patriarchal control over education. CBSE Schools in Ahmedabad has a similar approach to curb misogyny. After achieving Independence, the leaders of the country hosted several socialist programs to improve the conditions of the poor by providing them with proper education and training facilities.Government-based schools and colleges were set up so that citizens could get proper and quality education. Private institutions also came into being that set a benchmark for education in the country. The recent decades have also seen several changes in the way of imparting knowledge. Below, we have discussed some of them— ●Grading System- The grading system in schools compared to the post- colonial rule in recent years has changed a lot. Answers have become more specific and teachers only find the keywords in the student's answer. This enables the teacher to know that the student well knows the matter he/she has been asked to write about. ●Variety in Subjects- Recently, the schools have introduced a variety of subjects other than the traditional ones, that are more career specific. Thetop 10 CBSESchools in Ahmedabad encourage their students to go for every stream or subject they like, which has improved theirresults of them too. Students get to learn subjects like Home Science, Fashion Designing, Horticulture, etc. as per their interests. They no longer need to struggle or get stressed about learning a subject they don't like. ●Extra-Curricular Activities- A healthy body paves way for a healthy mind. Any student needs to stay fit and give some of their time for physical

  3. exercises that enhance their growth, both physically and mentally. Schools and Universities nowadays, give equal importance to sports and other curricular activities alongside studies and encourage their students to take part in them. The top 5 CBSE Schools in Ahmedabad create ample chances for their students to take part in what they love. Now the students can balance their work and have a fun time while doing their hobbies too. ●Importance to the Education of the Girl Child- India since Independence has realized the importance of educating a girl child. It is said that 'Educating a woman means educating the whole family'. Today the centuries-old traditions have been broken. The Government keeping aside the discrimination of gender binaries made it compulsory for every child to study at the age of 14. Today women are getting equal opportunities in the workplace, be it teaching, in medical fields, in defense, or administrative jobs, they have kept no field untouched. Conclusion The importance of imparting knowledge has been well realized by Indian Leaders almost a century ago. This has made the government invest a huge amount of money in the education of the progenies. To make the process more beneficial, there are constant changes in the process of imparting knowledge. Although there is no doubt that we have evolved a lot, there is much more to change in the system because 'Change is the only Constant'.
