Customized Payroll Action Forms

Customized Payroll Action Forms. Action Forms can now be customized, very much like check forms. You must first assign the name of the form, to the Action Type. If the Action Form field is left blank, it will default to THMSFM.PPACTION. Therefore, you only need to assign the exceptions.

  1. Customized Payroll Action Forms

  2. Action Forms can now be customized, very much like check forms. You must first assign the name of the form, to the Action Type

  3. If the Action Form field is left blank, it will default to THMSFM.PPACTION. Therefore, you only need to assign the exceptions. Since we are customizing the forms, there must be a customized PPACTION in place as well.

  4. Now, depending on which Action Type you are generating, the form will vary. In our example here, we are creating a COLA action for this employee.

  5. Note this Action Form shows Rate of Pay differences.

  6. Here’s an example of using a different Action Form for the Action Type “TERM”

  7. Here’s an example of entering the Action Form, using type TERM

  8. Example of different Form, showing termination details

  9. Example of MISC Action Type. Note there is no Action Form entered. Leaving this field blank will cause the Form to use the default “generic” action form layout.

  10. Example of “generic” default form.

  11. Each form you create, must be formatted, using XXU100. The Input and Output Name will be the same.

  12. Each form is saved in the SITE/MENUS directory. I suggest naming all forms PPAC****, with the asterisks replicating the Action Type (as close as possible). Keep in mind, there MUST be PPACTION in place as well – do not change this one, it’s the default!

  13. The END Note: You can close this window to return to LGDPC’s How-To Presentations Page.
